Our Approach
We believe that therapy is an adventure - an adventure of the mind and of growth, both in the therapy room and out in nature.
We start by creating a safe base - a space where your young person feels heard, understood, and steady enough to explore.
So what are we exploring?
How their mind works, what it holds, and how it shapes their experience. Their relationships, and the places they move through. Where they feel alive. Where they feel free.
We explore who a young person is through what they do, because who we are is reflected in what we do - and what we do shapes who we become. This is occupational therapy at its heart.
We use the Kawa (River) Model to understand how everything flows together, alongside approaches such as Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), EMDR, Sensory Modulation and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with the aim of helping the mind flow more freely.
Whether we're in the therapy room or out doing bushcraft sessions, we're exploring how mind, body, environment, and everyday life shape how a young person feels.
Some work with us entirely in the clinic, some mostly out in nature, and some move between the two. Adventure is the stance we bring either way..Â
Adventure can be a way to explore what a young person is capable of - handling challenges, building connections, and discovering their own resilience.
We live it - we don’t just talk about it.
Three Foundations Guide Our Work:
Grounded in Daily Life
We help you find your own footing and way in life.Â
We focus on small meaningful shifts.
We Look at You as a Whole
You are more than a list of symptoms.
We help you see the bigger picture.
Evidence-Informed & Heart-Led
We draw on evidence and your direct experience.
We figure out what works together.
Also Working With Adults
Alongside my work with young people, I also see adults navigating late ADHD diagnosis and complex trauma, including adoption. If that's you, or someone you care about, get in touch to talk about whether it's a good fit.
